This 7-story apartment building with 205 units, was a fully occupied senior housing complex when work was undertaken to upgrade and refresh its exterior. The upgrades included new energy-efficient windows, new AC covers, and custom color omega cladding panels. There was considerable demolition of old components, along with the use of two different size booms, swing scaffolds and a sidewalk bridge during demo and installation of all new components. As such, extra care and attention to residents’ comfort was a key priority requiring complete coordination between the property staff, residents and the AAWD team.

AAWD Supplied and installed (474) custom sized Bronze Aluminum Heavy Commercial 2 and 3 lite Slider Windows with interior Snap Trim & Clip System and full-length self-locking easy slider handles on all sashes and an energy efficient glazing package. Additionally, tempered glazing was required by code on (17) Window Sashes.

AAWD also supplied and installed (528) custom colored Omega-Lite Panels along with (476) pieces of custom designed Heavy Guage Brake Metal slab covers. This work required to be completed using the Swing Scaffold. The Supply, Installation and Caulking of the perimeter of (418) new Air Conditioner Covers provided the finishing touch to the exterior.

The ownership was thrilled with the new look and energy efficient products provided and quite impressed that there was not one complaint from any of the 205 residents. Quite an accomplishment. But this is the AAWD way!
