American Architectural Window and Door Named Most Charitable
The New Jersey Apartment Association’s held its annual Garden State Awards in New Brunswick on November 6, 2019 where American Architectural Window & Door was named the Most Charitable Member

American Architectural Window & Doors attitude toward charitable efforts is a direct reflection of owner/president John Zoetjes. “I was raised in the projects of Hoboken long before Hoboken became the place it is now. I have always been sensitive to the needs of others and learned very early about service to my country and the community.”
Starting in 2017, American Architectural Window & Door became an active sponsor and partnered with Electronic Access Foundation to provide refurbished laptop computers to JAHMA Foundation scholarship recipients living in New Jersey affordable housing communities attending college. Most of these recipients had never owned their own computer.
By the end of August 2019, American Architectural Window & Door will have provided 65+ refurbished laptops to JAHMA Scholarship recipients. We’ve also expanded our efforts with Electronic Access Foundation to sponsor refurbished desktop setups and laptops enabling the establishment and/or expansion of computer labs in affordable housing communities. Currently, labs have been setup in communities run by the Jersey City Housing Authority, the Hoboken Housing Authority and a community room lab in a senior facility managed by Jonathan Rose Companies in Newark. To date nearly 100 desktops & monitors, another 25 laptops and other technology devices have been distributed to these communities.
John has always been big-hearted by nature. He noted, “We’ve worked closely with public and privately managed public housing developers for over 25 years, as such it is important for me and my company to give something back to those residents. Seeing the success of the computer labs and the impact it’s having for everyone from 3rd and 4th grade students to senior citizens is truly rewarding.”
